We are required to hold
• Tagged animals 3 days
• Untagged animals 3 days
NOTE:
Leash Laws and Vaccination Laws are strictly enforced.
The Town of Van Horn hosts a rabies vaccination clinic twice a year.
Traps for stray animals
We will set up cages to trap stray animals upon request.

arises within the corporate limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City.
Responsibilities
Handles Class C Misdemeanor Traffic and City Ordinance violations written by
Culberson County Sheriff’s Office
Any other commissioned officers acting within the city limits
Animal Control
Code Enforcement
School Attendance
Handles all Fine-Only Class C Misdemeanor Complaints filed in the Court
Payments
Accepted in cash or money-order at the Clerk’s desk
